Weave Yourself into God
In November of 2021, I was ministering at a meeting and the Holy Spirit gave me a word that I believe applies to the year 2022. I was studying the scripture:
“But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31 NKJV)
This is a familiar passage of scripture which I have heard most of my life. Whenever I hear it or read it, I think about the fact that I am not very good at waiting! However, it is important to spend time being quiet and “waiting” especially in this day when cell phones are ever present and the whole world is only a click away.
I was very surprised to discover that the word “wait” came from a word in Hebrew that originated from “twist, cord, rope.” Suddenly I saw, in my spirit, a rope that I had in the barn. It is what we call a 3-strand manila rope. Its strength comes from all the strands of fiber that are woven together. Looking at it from the outside, it appears there are only two strands. The third seems to be hidden within the other two.
The interpretation I received was, “They that weave themselves into the Lord shall renew their strength…” The word renew, actually means “change” so I would interpret, “They that weave themselves into the Lord shall change their weakness for His strength.”
You are one strand and alone cannot support the weight of the times, but woven into God, you are woven into the strength of His Word and His Spirit, which overcomes the world. You are also hidden in Him!
This year, make a quality decision to weave yourself into Him through putting His Word first and wrap yourself by praying in the Spirit. You will enter His strength and take the wings of the eagle!
