September 2020

Dear Partner,

What do you need today? Do you need peace? Do you need a loved one saved? Your bills paid?

Whatever you need, He has already provided for it. Too many times we think that we have to talk God into something when in reality His hand is outstretched trying to give it to us while we are struggling and trying to meet our own needs and problems. God is not our problem and sometimes it is not the devil who is the problem. It is us!

Whatever it is, God is reaching out to you today just waiting for you to give up working your problems out in the flesh with your own strength. He is waiting for you to call upon Him and His mercy and grace and find help in a time of need. He is there for you.

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I get my eyes on the problems and can get consumed with them. It takes effort to get the problem off my mind, because I am trying to figure out how to do it myself. God didn’t ask us to do it ourselves! The scripture in Zechariah 4:6 comes to mind:

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.”

The next time you find yourself trying to “work out your problem,” fall upon the mercy, grace and love of God your Father.

I wasn’t saved by trying hard or proving my worth, or doing enough “right” things. I was saved because a loving Father sent His Son and made every good thing available to me through His sacrifice.

Are you trying too hard to get something from God, trying to be spiritual, trying to be good, and trying to please God? God is already pleased... He was so pleased with loving you that He made the ultimate sacrifice to save you! It is up to you to accept that by fully trusting Him.

In Christ,

 Annette Capps
